W ith 2021 coming to an end, Spotify released the annual wrapped list, showing not only everybody their favorite artists and songs, but also showing us who made it big this year. The better these artists do on big social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, the bigger the artist becomes, and this list shows them all.
These are just a few of the artists that have either established their place in the music industry this past year or have continued to show us why they are some of the greatest artists that exist in this day and age.
This girl rose to fame quickly when her first album debut Sour came out in June. Her album Sour rose quickly with chart sales at 320,000 easily making her the best selling album of the year 2021.
Her songs “Good 4 U” and “Drivers License” almost immediately made her viral when they became the songs to listen to in summer and for heartbreak.
This new star not only landed one song in the top 40 billboard chart, but she also best-selling managed to get 3 spots with “Good 4 U” and “Drivers License” holding steady at top 2, while “Deja Vu” stood strong at number 5, with her top alone having a minimum of 40 million sales between them.
This ginger Uk artist continues to remind us why he is one of the best yet again. He continues to send out hit songs one after one every year. “Bad Habits” a new song of his stayed number one for over 11 weeks throughout the summer and continues to be a song that is played on repeat for many along with previous classics of his such as “Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill:”
He continues to rock the world through his variety in music from love songs such as “perfect” to summer jam songs like “‘River” which featured the rap God known as Eminem.
The Canadian artists that gave us the ever so popular song “Starboy” came back this year with a new song inspired by the 80s called “Save Your Tears” and another popular song “Blinding Lights”
Both songs are from the artist’s fourth album that was released last year called “After Hours”, however, what kept ‘Save Your Tears” in the top 100 billboards is the remix that came out earlier this year featuring everyone’s favorite Ariana Grande.

The artist not only stole the Album of the Year away at BRIT’s Awards, she also managed to get the Best Female Solo Artist Award. No doubt after her previous release of “New Rules”, the Moonlight Edition of her previous album “Future Nostalgia” earlier in the year stole the show, especially after the single “Levitating” continues to peak at number 5 on the Official Charts.
The woman continues to be an inspiration for many girls across the planet with her energetic songs about getting over breakups and becoming a self-made person.
